Roaming Gnomes

Did you know that three gnomes have been living in Robinson State Park in Agawam, MA?

From their wooded homes, they’ve noticed a lot of humans entering the park lately and they’d love to meet some new friends.

BioI like long walks on the beach, I enjoy trail running and I love people watchingI like go-kart racing, I play tennis every day & I climb trees A LOT.I like to sleep in late, I love fishing & I LOVE hide & seek.

Each gnome likes to hide slightly off the trails within the park. Typically, they hide no more than 25 feet off the side of trails and are usually be found behind trees or branches. Since gnomes can’t speak to humans, each one carries directions on what to do if you spot them. It is important that you do not remove them from the park. If you do remove them, their families will miss them GREATLY.

While the gnomes can’t leave the park, they do LOVE to explore other parts of the park. Please bring them with you on your walk and leave them for others to find in a new area.

Once your new gnome friend has been placed in another part of the park let us know where they are hiding so others can help spot them.

Report the location of the gnome by following these steps:

(1) ensure GPS is on & open the Maps application on your phone

(2) press and hold the dot where your location currently is (also the gnome’s new hiding spot). Once you do this Latitude and Longitude coordinates will appear. You’ll need those to report the gnome’s new location.

(3) report the Gnomes location one of two ways:

(a) email us with the coordinates and gname of the gnome

OR

(b) fill out this location reporting form

Thanks and happy exploring!!!
